Ingenuity at it’s finest!!! We have purchased two of these and they have worked incredibly well with our summer heat and umbrellas on out catwalk decks INCLUDING WIND! The shademount has been rock-solid holding an umbrella up through very windy days or evening! We were pleasantly surprised how strong this thing really was/is! We are buying two more – for a total of 4 of these things! They help keep the sun off the catwalk deck to our vacation rental rooms in our main house and also our guest house. It keeps the temperature TEN DEGREES cooler in the room to provide these to the entrance way to all rooms. Definitely recommend without hesitation. If it can make it through our winds on the Pacific Northwest Coast…it can hold up anywhere! also I only paid for only 2 day shipping and got it in 24 hours! I could not believe it!

Live in Downtown Dallas; which is windy. Based on a report I read, we are windier than “the Windy City”. For our sized umbrella and winds it was recommended that we have at least 100lbs base. Had a hard time justifying expense. Literally stumbled across the shademount website, emailed a few questions and ordered. Very pleased.

This product is amazing! We entertain on our deck often and by using the ShadeMount not only is our patio table covered our entire deck has shade! As the position of the sun changes we are simply able to unhook our ShadeMount and move it wherever the sun goes. We highly recommend this product to anyone with a deck!

If you have not bought this product yet you are missing out. We love our patio set but grew tired of the sun beating down on half of us at the table. We looked at the wheeled offset patio umbrellas but couldn’t afford to spend $500. Shade Mount was the answer to our problems.
